I see that the board is getting bit slow so lets start something up.
For people who have seen The One what do you think of it? I've found the fight scenes a bit too flashy (changes scenes too quickly) and not to mention they look more like dancing around each other.

I agree. Too much sfx, not enough real action.
I guess Jet Li is getting old too...

I liked it but it is far from Jet Li's best work. The problem with Jet's american movies is the directors don't know how to edit a fight scene properly and Corey Yuen is far from being the best Martial Arts director either, I like his Honk Kong work but Woo Ping is just so much better in my oppinion.
Jet has two new films comeing out late this year earlie next year. The first one is Cradel 2 the Grave. It's a crime story action thing (he fights with a midget, lmao). It looks interesting, it is directed and writen by the guys who made Romeo Must Die and stars Kelly Hu, Tom Arnold, DMX and Mark Decasco (or however you spell his name). the Martial Arts director is Corey Yuen. Hopefully they will do a better job at editing the fight scenes this time around.
The second film is called Hero. It is going to be fantastic, Jet is getting back into a mandarin language film. I am so excited about this film. It's directed by Zhang Yimou (The Road Home, Red Sorgum) and also stars Tony Leung, Maggie Cheun and Zhang Ziyi. And Donnie yen guest stars as a minor character. Donnie and Jet will have there first fight scene together since Once Upon a Time in China 2. I just can't wait for this one. It has 5 stars who's films I love and a Zhang Yimou is one of my all time favourite directors. I'm interested to see how he goes doing a Wuxia film. It is being tiped to riveal the success of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (it has a lot of the same technical crew on this film, namely music and costume).
