Let me be the first to say that I haven't seen the movie! I've read the trilogy, and like Adrian, it was a very long time ago. With my poor memory, I've forgotten everything about it. Heck, I'm beginning to forget what happened with the last book I read from Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series.

well i'm gonna name my daughter arwen and take up archery ;D haha! i *really* loved the movie if you can't tell, i read the books at the beginning of this yr. it took me months to finish the two towers though i like the elvish language, i might try learn it the fellowship is all sold out up here! i already have it, but it's old and tattered and i want a new one. hey adrian i saw the hobbit in the black cover too! it's got a dragon in the glossy black print, so pretty! rip off though, it's much thinner than the other 3, and is still the same price! i'm reading the silmarillion atm, i saw it in the black cover too, but i forget which store

Yeah good movie ... even though I've only read 100 pages of the first book.
Funny to see friends reaction when they didn't realise it was a trilogy. They thought the ending was just that.

Linda: Yeah I'm still looking around for the cool black paperbacks... though the matte blue paperbacks are pretty cool also. I am torn atm between getting the hardback or paperback...
Nghia: Yeah... people who haven't read the book and don't realise it's a trilogy come out going... huh? what about the ring thingo? aren't they supposed to destroy it!!?? ;D

the porn will be there kenny.. don't worry... yes... well it's not really the dark side.. it's just that with other books, for example, the wheel of time series, if you want to read the book when it comes out you have to get the hardcover... it has nothing to do with the superior quality and durability of a hardcover novel ;D

Superior quality and durability of hardcovers? Huh! That's medieval wive's tale. I'm telling you, a paperback can easily stand the test of time if you vacuum shrink wrap it and store it in a foamed container once you've finished reading it. It'll survive anything you chuck at it ;D

Yep!!! that was a good film. THey CHanged some of the story though, just some small details. One of my friends, who I saw it with pointed all the faults out afterward, but we still both had to aggree that it was ACE!!! d**n Fine Elves!! SAM and Kate did very well: CHAmpions. It was just as good as the first film version (that dates me), which had me cowering behind the seat and peeking through my fingures. SEEE IT!!

i watched it again last night and spotted 3 bloopers! the first one was a car in the background in the field/scarecrow scene (u can't actually see the car, but u see the dust moving in the b/g. going too fast to be anything else as well) the 2nd was a brown band around gandalf's finger when he's talking to saruman, and in the next shot it's gone. and the 3rd was sam using a pretty modern looking kitchen knife on top of the mtn. there's a site that has some bloopers, but it's not working at the mo: www.movie-mistakes.com/film.php?filmid=1778 i'll try again later. i'll probably go see it a 3rd time if i ever get my book back, hehe! ;D
